Terrazzo tiles in Cuenca

BAEC manufactures terrazzo tiles in Samborondón and delivers project by project to Cuenca and the southern Andes. Terrazzo performs well in the austral Sierra climate: tiles are repairable, can be re-polished in place and have a service life of decades, stable through the day–night temperature swings.

Cuenca has the strongest artisanal flooring tradition in the country — in the historic centre, mosaic and terrazzo floors are part of the original language of the houses. We work with architects and contractors on heritage restoration projects that need to replace or continue existing floors, and on new residential, commercial and institutional builds with bespoke finishes: color, aggregates and format.
